Enviro-Cool (UK) Limited developed the V-Tex commercial unit as a replacement to expensive high energy use existing equipment such as multi deck open refrigerators and beverage merchandisers found in service stations, super markets, grocery stores, bars and restaurants etc.
V-Tex makes the need of having multiple beverage refrigerators redundant for these locations, allowing for beverages to be stored on shelves at room temperature and then chilled on demand. A multi deck open refrigerator at steady state uses 9.9 kWh/day where as a V-Tex unit uses only 0.9 kWh/day thus reducing cost and saving 90% of energy.
In addition to the low energy use and cheaper operating cost there is also a hygiene element to the V-Tex unit that other refrigerators do not offer. Pre-packed beverages leave the factory in a very clean and hygienic state. But before they are consumed they could be exposed to contamination from various sources. The V-Tex unit will return the beverage to its hygienic and clean state as well as chilling it.
The Enviro- Cool (UK) Limited development team recognised this problem and incorporated a UV cleaning process to the beverage packaging as it is being rapidly cooled. When the beverage has finished the cooling process and ejected from the V-Tex unit the packaging will be bacteria free.
