Kelvin embarked on a career as an entrepreneur and took a further two 'A' levels in Business Studies and Accounting. He worked for several years in Finance and Property and in the late 90's became involved in environmental building techniques and products.

In 2000 Kelvin invented a water saving product for commercial washrooms and founded Enviro-Fresh Limited to arrange the manufacture and distribution of the product. In 2003 Kelvin raised £3,000,000 in private equity finance to assist the growth of the business and in 2006 Enviro-Fresh Limited sold to Rentokil Initial plc for £9,000,000.

In 2007 Kelvin founded Enviro-Cool (UK) Limited with the sole purpose of developing a low energy, rapid cooling device for pre-packed beverages. He funded several months of research and finally developed proof of concept. A development grant was awarded by the European Commission in the sum of 930,000 euros to progress this proof of concept into a commercial product.

The Enviro-Cool (UK) Limited rapid drinks cooling technology cools pre-packed beverages faster and more efficiently than any other product on the market.

The technology can be incorporated into a standard domestic refrigerator or as a stand alone kitchen appliance. A commercial unit is also being developed for use in convenience stores, petrol stations, bars, etc.

Kelvin is a Director and shareholder of New Wave Innovation Limited, a company specialising in the development of new technologies, and is also a Director and shareholder of Highway Resources Solutions Limited, a company which has developed award winning safety equipment that is now being specified for use on road work projects in the UK and abroad.

Kelvin is on the panel of approved evaluators of the European Commission's Executive Research Agency; his role is to evaluate applications for funding from SMEs throughout Europe.

In his spare time Kelvin enjoys keeping fit and his pastimes include swimming, horse riding, shooting, martial arts and tennis.
